DeShawn Stewart
Peer Recovery Coach
My name is DeShawn Stewart, and I am proud to be a person in long-term recovery. My journey toward recovery began in the summer of 2017, a pivotal moment that transformed my life. Since then, I have embraced my role as a dedicated father and spouse, cherishing every moment I get to spend with my loved ones.
Building strong relationships has been essential for my well-being. I am fortunate to have two best friends who are a constant source of support and joy in my life. We make it a point to spend time together weekly, whether it's enjoying outdoor activities, catching up over coffee, or simply hanging out.
In my free time, I have developed a passion for snowboarding, which allows me to experience the thrill of the mountains and connect with nature. I also find great joy in coloring sacred geometry mandalas; it’s a creative outlet that helps me focus and express myself.
Most importantly, I prioritize spending meaningful time with my family, friends, and coworkers. These relationships are vital to my recovery and overall happiness. I believe that by nurturing these connections, I can continue to grow and thrive on this journey.
