Hi! My name is Rebecca Brunner, and I am the Office Coordinator in the Advocates for Recovery Colorado (AFRC) Sterling office. Before joining the AFRC team, I was a Supported Employment Specialist, assisting individuals to overcome barriers to their employment. Many of the individuals I worked with were in recovery. Hearing their stories and seeing their strength was truly inspiring to me. During that time, I began attending AFRC community events in Sterling. Attending these events gave me the resources I needed to support my friends, family, and the individuals I worked with in their recovery. After seeing how impactful the services provided by AFRC can be, I decided to transition from my employment support work into the AFRC team.
