Voting will be determined by audience participation and will take place live at each performance. Hosted by CrossPurpose, this event fosters inclusivity, expands access to vital resources, advances health equity, and challenges the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health. Through music, connection, and celebration, Recovery Summer Jam demonstrates that recovery is not just possible; it is transformative, empowering, and fun.
This year, in partnership with Advocates for Recovery, we’re launching Recovery’s Got Talent, a showcase of creativity and growth in recovery. Through music, spoken word, and performance, it will amplify voices, share stories, and celebrate resilience. Join us in making Recovery Summer Jam the most impactful yet.

Staff member Jared Horney, an English major, will lead this group in discussing the craft of creative writing and allow everyone the space to practice their writing skills together. Whether you're a published author or haven't written anything in your life, ALL are welcome.
Come and write a description about you falling in love one day at the grocery store. Write about the DMV trip that took five years to complete. Write about the best dog you've ever met.

Participants will be led by AFRC coach Jared Horney (an actual English major) as he walks the group through some creative writing processes.
