Art of Recovery
The ART of Recovery, hosted by Kristin Frances of Colorado Artists in Recovery will be held at in person at our AFRC Denver, Sterling, and Durango locations and at ATC in Montrose (1230 N. Grand Ave Montrose, CO 81401) You can also join virtually https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85080299043
ALL ARE WELCOME FAMILY FRIENDLY! Let's create a community space together where vulnerability, recovery and meaningful connection is celebrated! We will practice some mindfulness, positive self-talk and self-reflection while creating and having fun. This is all about the process and connection - and nothing to do with grades or a final product. Our wish for you is that you can relax and have FUN, while sharing and connecting in a safe community of solutions. This is an art group where prior art experience is NOT necessary. Materials will be provided by Colorado Artists in Recovery for in person, but a simple pen and paper will work if you are joining Virtually. #ArtOfRecovery #ConnectThroughArt #RecoverWE Colorado Artists in Recovery
Writing Workshop
Welcome to any and all creative writers, writing enthusiasts, or simply anyone wishing to hone their skills! Writing is a beneficial activity for anyone in (or outside of) recovery. Each writer possesses their own unique tone and voice that comes through in their work, so join us as we participate in some group writing activities and get a chance to hear and celebrate one another’s voices. Zoom attendance is available here: https://shorturl.at/hnAPU
For any questions or to RSVP, please contact Jared Horney at jaredhorney@advocatesforrecovery.org or text 720-769-7230. Hope to see you there!
